ALP Connect Horizons
ALP Connect Horizons is designed for children with significant needs that prevent them from attending their home school. Horizons offers longer-term placements for children who might otherwise be unable to access education because of medical needs or mental health challenges.
At Horizons, each child follows a curriculum that is tailored to them, with the opportunity to work towards recognised qualifications, including GCSEs. Timetables are carefully planned to support re-engagement with education, improve attendance, and, when the time comes, help prepare children for a successful move into post-16 education, training, or employment.
Alongside academic learning, children benefit from a wide range of therapies and interventions, delivered by skilled staff in a nurturing and supportive environment. Our focus is on helping children feel safe, cared for, and understood. Horizons also works closely with external agencies and wellbeing services to make sure children have access to the right mental health and pastoral support whenever they need it.
