Message from the Chair of the Trust
Over the past year, the Trust has continued to grow and develop. The Trust continues to establish a first-class reputation locally and within the educational sector, while pursuing ambitious goals to further enhance and transform lives.
Parents desire the best for their children, and it is clear that the Trust’s core mission, vision and values are dedicated to fulfilling this expectation by guaranteeing that every child receives exceptional care, attention and education, irrespective of their background or challenges that they may face.
The support for educational improvement and the development of infrastructure provided by ALP to its schools and their employees are crucial, serving as vital components that transform strategies into practical classroom applications. I am convinced the success of these initiatives stems from the unwavering effort and commitment of the entire ALP Family. We can all take pride in being part of an organisation that significantly impacts the lives of thousands of young individuals in the counties of Durham and Darlington, enhancing their opportunities in life.
The impact of a school within its community is profound, particularly in addressing the social and economic challenges faced by communities in our region. ALP plays a critical role in overcoming these hurdles by ensuring each child has access to high-quality education, empowering them to reach their full potential.
The Trust’s newest initiatives, including the Civic Partnership sector, the inclusive alternative education provision, and the Institute of Teaching, Leadership and Research, are set to make a meaningful difference. Each is designed to support and strengthen the lives of children and families across our communities.
Through its strategic plan, ALP aims to build upon its solid foundations and further improve its already distinguished track record of offering support, guidance, and leadership to schools, employees and children. An excellent education creates opportunities for young people and the transformative significance of the Trust’s efforts is encapsulated in our ethos: ‘Your child is our child’.
